As many may know the Bereau of Health Proffessionals (BHP) within the Michigan Department of
Community Health (MDCH) is running the Medical Marihuana Program. The department has been busy setting up the system and applying rules for the patients and caregivers associated with this new law to abide by. A basic set of rules has been issued as a guideline and the revised set of rules will be issued tomorrow. This department has not had much time to work on this and is assuredly doing everything they can to implement a fair and beneficial program to help those in need. This update issued on their site explains this and states that all program information will be complete on April 4th.

Program Status Update (1/23/2009) : The Bureau of Health Professions is in the process of revising the administrative rules, based upon the comments received at the public hearing on January 5, 2009, and the written comments that were received. The revised rules should be available for review in early February 2009. This website currently contains some program information, and will be complete on or before April 4, 2009.
